Analysis of Man U downfall in Old Trafford.

The key points if any team wants to pull down Man U, in my opinion, Liverpool not doing any magic, but stay on the feet and get the the basic. Once the fundamental is done, the game plan would go without much problem. As the Man U penalty don't come into the game plan, Liverpool was shattered to fear in the first place, but settle down once Torres get the equalizer.

As you all should notice that when Man U was attacking, Ronaldo was being body guarded by 2 Liverpool players at all time, that's highlight the important of limiting Ronaldo movement whenever he gets the ball. Ronaldo is quite a selfish player, and he have the confident to battle one-on-one with any defender. But by deploying 2 players, whether the players have defend quality, the pressure would sure enough to limit the movement of the ball with the present of 4 legs infront of Ronaldo.

The 2nd factor was the fact that Berbatov is not present in the front line. Sami Hyypia got relieve when he deal with the high balls pumped into the six yard box, almost all high balls were won once the ball is in the box, only Ronaldo is more than capable to get a few of them. Man U does have good in heading to score type of player, like Vidic and Evra, but they had lost their cool and confident earlier of the game.

The final factor is not found every games when Man U play. Man U won to much games in a trot in Europe and Premiership, thus too much self-confident and cause them to take Liverpool lightly. I don't think this factor would come into Man U's player mind in next game.

Other than the factors above, I believe Macherano is another unsung player, as he unusually keep his cool through out the match, no matter what happen, he don't really got wind up, just do the great job to break the attacking play, especially in the 1st half.

Now only Man U to decide to push the self-destruction button, or they would won the title in the end of the season.

Liverpool the winner in Anfield

While seeing from the very 1st minutes, Liverpool stuck 2 very good strike against the Real Madrid's goalkeeper, Iker Casillas, it serve the very early warning from Liverpool that they were not to defend the 1 goal lead in Spain a fortnight ago.

If Iker Casillas was not at his very best, I think it would be a 6-0 or even 8-0. The Real Madrid defenders are stunt each time Liverpool forward is going against them. It seems Real Madrid can't win the Spainish title this year if their defender don't improve immediately.

I saw the improvement, perhaps due to the long week of rest, and all the players' fresh legs. In the match, I would single out Macherano for the contribution to the win, as Liverpool have a lot of second ball won by him, thus give Liverpool a lot of attacking procession, although his hard tackle sometimes give him some trouble, but I still prefer his usual self, perhaps he should be employed to tackle C Ronaldo this weekend when again Man U.

A win that could now wait for another 4 teams to complete the last 16 match. I would like to see Liverpool pair with non-English or non-Spanish team in quarter final. Where only left the potential opponent on from Lyon(could be knocked out by Barca), Bayern Munich, Porto, and
Inter-Milan(could be knocked out by Man U). I prefer Bayern Munich, as seems Liverpool seldom meet German club in the UEFA competition.

Wishing Liverpool all the best!

Liverpool got the upper hand in Madrid

Watching live match is the passion of support a team!

While pray for a goalless draw is good enough, I feel Liverpool was just good enough to win the match after watching 1st half action.

But my mind always struggled that who would be the potential scorer in the team, in 2nd half with Torres had nagging injury in first half, and seems most of them are not so sure how to score in open play. And finally Yossi, a shorter player, only Javier is shorter than him in the team, score with a header... I just can't believe it, and I know lucky star were poured on Liverpool side again this year progress into quarter final.

Wishing all the best for Liverpool to go all the way and lift the Champion League Trophy again.
